Aiyana Pearson

After retiring from a career with the State of California I spend most of my time now working on ceramic sculptures.  When I’m not working on clay projects, I’m either learning more about art at American River College, or I’m teaching a clay class at the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services, Women’s Wisdom Project.

I love playing with the clay.  There is no rhyme or reason to my works, other than the joy I get from creating them.  They are whimsical and figurative.  Along with my enjoyment, I also get a big kick out of my family saying “Wow, YOU made that?”  Yes, I did.
